Good afternoon, Felinity Assembled...anyone out there? Anyone miss me?
Friday the Bearded Lady, here, and I want to apologize
My last posts were 3 poems in April 2019.
And before that? Well, it's too depressing to get into.
Watching Elvira, the other day, I wanted to return to action, too. (The series begins on the blog of Daddy Kiril)
The Day 5 Flash Fiction February Prompt from the Human writing them at Writer's Digest?
Write about a couple.
I thought about it a bit and, remembering Elvira telling me about some of the Dogs and Cats in his life, before Mr. Nikita, I could turn one of her tales into a story.
THE COUPLE by Friday the Bearded Lady (Dedicated to the memory of Junior and Ginger, 2 Chihuahuas)
They came from the same litter, the 2 cats.
That was all they had in common.
Aside from living in the same home, and loving the same humans their entire lives.
He was all tan, she was all chocolate.
Brother and sister, this couple had a complicated relationship.
He worshipped the ground she walked on.
She treated him like dirt.
This went on for their entire 13 years.
Old, nearly blind, they reached the end at last.
He went first and, when she realized he was gone, she realized how much she loved and missed him, dying within a week.
NEXT UP -- Entry #6 is by Elvira, as she gets ready to celebrate her 11th Birthday, soon.

That sweet story plays out many times in all species. Well done.

Aww, that was sweet and sad.

Well done, but so sad. My Joanie and Sammy are like that, but Joanie worships Sammy and he bullies her.
