Good morning, felinity assembled!
Friday the Bearded Lady, here!
Welcome to Day 6 of the Poetry A Day Challenge by Robert Lee Brewer, of the wonderful Poetic Asides Blog, at Writer's Digest.
Take the phrase “After (blank),” replace the blank with a word or phrase, make the new phrase the title of your poem, and then, write your poem. Possible titles include: “After Dinner,” “After You,” “After Hours,” and/or “After I Finish Writing This Poem.”
Remember: These prompts are just springboards; you have the freedom to jump in any direction you want."
(The Day 1 poem, by Sneakers, is here)
So, here is my effort, appropriate for a lazy Saturday afternoon...
After Noon by Friday the Bearded Lady
After I finish writing this poem
I will go take my after noon nap.
But not until after some Window TV,
Followed by my mid-day crap.
