MaMA tells me she used to be a "Portland river rat", but I don't think she means she was a Nutria. I think she means she grew up near the banks of the Ohio in the Portland section of Louisville, Kentucky.

Daddy says there are Hispanic and Asian markets and restaurants nearby and we are close to Houston's Chinatown stretch of Bellaire Blvd. as well.

Yes, there are Mosquitos in the wilder parts of the bayous, but Mosquitos are found all over Harris County during certain parts of the year.
