There is an interesting story on The Blaze and here's the short version...
A 20 lb., 10 yr., old Maine Coon now named Laurel sits at the Greenville County Pet Rescue in South Carolina. Though wearing an unusual collar, Laurel didn’t have tags. He did, however, have an unusually tiny Teacup Chihuahua pup in a pocket in the collar.
The weeks old pup tucked into the cat’s collar is black and tinkled upon discovery. It appears the pair was left on the rescues doorstep overnight. Fans of the shelter’s Facebook page have taken to speculating about why.
A spokesman for the shelter says it appears the very hardy cat is fiercely protecting the pups life, while Facebook followers say the look on the face of the cat shows it doesn’t give a hoot and just wants it out of its life; others counter that he is expressing feelings of caring.

Yes, strange. This is where we live and unfortunately it is a kill no-shelter. Hopefully the PR will save them both.

Hi, I'm Confused....
Thanks for the links, though. Hope they find his owner or a good home for him.
