Hi, um, I'm Sneakers the Texian Tuxedo and Elvira told me no afternoon nap until I got the carnival done, so...
She told me that, for cat bloggers the Carnival is a chance to discover blogs they don't know about and for those who submit to reach new readers.
Those who want to join the fun can send submissions to: carnivalofthecats(at)gmail.com
The Carnival Home Page, with an archive of past Carnivals, the Line-up for 2014, FAQ'S, and more, is HERE.
The Carnival still needs hosts for next year!
If Elvira and Daddy Kiril and Miss Mog think I can do this, then there's gotta be hope for others more experienced at blogging, so come on, hee, hee!

Let's see what we have to share today!
1. Mark Draughn, of Windy Pundit, has shared a tribute to a cat, named Simon, who went to Rainbow Bridge, encouraging readers to stop by the blog to learn Simon's story.
As he wrote us: "Simon was found by a friend outside her door a couple of months ago. I'm sure he could have been a wonderful member of the cat blogging community, but his time was over far too soon."
2. There is a 1400 year old Byzantine Church, museum, nice place to take a nap and snooze, called the Hagia Sophia, in Istanbul, Turkey. According to Travelling Cats, it is home to many cats and the photos in this post and at a link provided, are very nice to see.
3. Over at StrangeRanger...Get a load of the beautiful, but cranky, Maddie.
I may be a kitten, but I understand about being mad there is no sun puddle around when you need one!
4. CatSynth has a cat whose job title is "Inspector of Musical Acquisitions".
Or so I thought! Elvira says that is just Luna being Luna. Well, it's a great photo, anyway. Take a look, hee, hee!
5. Over at Marian Allen's Blog...Katya Graymalkin discusses the proper relationship between a pet cat and the snowy outdoors.
6. Over at Life From a Cat's Perspective...the girls show how to take it easy on Sundays.
7. Animal Shelter Volunteer Life celebrates the new year with a new blog header!
8. Over at Brian's Home...someone is taking it easy on a Sunday.
9 and 10. And last, this week has NOT been all about me around here, honest.
While I DID do my very first blog post yesterday....Elvira posted a Year in Review that celebated Mr. Nikita and a few other things that happened before I showed up.
OK, done! Later! Nap Time!
Nice job, Sneakers! And thanks to you, Elvira and Daddy K for hosting the Carnival! :)
