Good morning, felinity assembled, Nikita here with a story that is, dare I say it, quite simply, batty.
Daddy Kiril visited the Waugh Dr. Bat Colony, here in Houston, with the idea of asking around about where there might be cats in the area.
He never got to ask his question.
A colony of 250,000 Mexican free-tailed bats have lived under this bridge since 1993.
NOTE: For more from the daddy cam see the archive!
Daddy, like the fictional Dr. Doolittle, understands the words of many critters, and the things he's heard them say, about cats especially, have always been interesting to us.
Far too many humans have no clue how often cats come up in conversations among other animals...now daddy, and Meowsings, set out to reveal what is going on right under their noses.
Seen & Heard: Critters with Cats on the Brain
Austin has a bat bridge like that too - my human has been to that one.

Daddy says that Austin is far more batty than Houston ever could be, hee, hee! :-D
He still wants to visit, someday, though! :-D

We think it is wonderful you have a healthy colony of bats. they do so much to reduce the mosquito populations.
Sadly our native bats - the Little Brown Bat is in serious trouble due to white nose syndrome
