Good evening, felinity assembled, Nikita here with some momentous news...
As regular readers know, Elvira and I are long time munchers of Science Diet cat foods, from Hill's Pet Nutrition: I used to eat the adult, mature and senior dry foods, as the years went by and more recently, for medical reasons, the prescription J/D, then A/D dry and wet.
Elvira has always had a thing for the adult light dry, as a way to keep her girlish figure. We have also long been fans of their treats.
At Blog Paws Daddy Kiril met with the reps at the Hill's booth and exchanged cards, as he learned about their new products.
A month ago he got an email with an offer to participate in a new campaign to promote a new brand of cat food, from September through November.
In short the message was that "Hill's is working on a project to do more with bloggers - We're going to pay bloggers to write project based articles for us!"
Naturally, daddy was interested and, after Elvira and I also looked over the details, we thought that, on balance, it seemed an ideal way for daddy to get new experience as a writer (he has never been paid for his writing before and has been wanting to learn how to become a freelance writer and turn some of his and our, material into chapbooks and e-books), and the potential for our blog to get exposed to a much wider audience than we have ever had before, as well as begin to make connections and build a positive reputation, within the pet product industry.
As August winds down we are working with daddy and Hill's, to help him prepare for this great challenge; He will write 6 posts - 2 of which will include giveaways, over the next 3 months. Elvira and I will play a role in the endeavor, rest assured.
Beginning September 1st we hope you will come along for the ride and maybe even share your thoughts and spread the word.
Part 1 -- Hill's Pet Nutrition's New Cat Food: Checking Out Ideal Balance

Great ! Mum thinks for a long time that Hills Nutrition is the best for her kitties (and it was the only food that both Angel Hercule and Angel Isis agreed to eat...)

Congratulations! I found the introductory post! Okay, so I now understand that Daddy Kiril will be writing a total of 6 blog posts, all of which will be compensated. Has DK written out a plan for what to write about in the series of 6?
Are there specific topics or materials that DK must include in his blog posts? Any photojournalistic blog entries about Hill's coming up? Why not invite your own readers to submit their best jingle or short story or poem about Hill's natural food for cats as one blog post? If you host your own contest on your blog, you'll automatically get new readership :)

Thank you Amanda!
Hill's has sent daddy (and us, too! We check the stuff out when daddy is gone to work, in between naps and snoozes!) a collection of materials; articles to read, videos to watch, key words to use, etc.
It is up to daddy to write his article the ways he chooses, using this information.
There are specific themes every couple of weeks.
Your suggestion about involving readers in a creative way is something we have been discussing with daddy, especially because of the pair of giveaways and the number of gift packs we are allotted to give out.
