Good evening, felinity assembled!
In all the years that Daddy Kiril has been carrying his camera around with him, keeping a look out for cats on the street, rarely has he gotten as up close as he did, yeasterday, outside the main offices of the Houston Parks & Recreation, on Wayside.
As he approached the driveway, in front of the building, this beautiful cat came out of some bushes, as confident as you please, with not an ounce of fear.
His initial pictures, as the cat walked away, seemingly not interested in him, were not that interesting, or close up, except for this one at the "scratching post".
The cat soon disappeared and daddy went in search of some answers. The couple of stgaff members, in the lobby, that he chatted with, said the cat showed up a couple of months ago and no-one knew whether it was male or female, or how old it is.
Apparently no-one had thought about trapping the cat and contacting a local rescue.
Daddy went back outside, intending to go catch the bus, and saw the cat was back!
It promptly lay down in the no parking zone, deliberately ignoring the signs.
Daddy then slowly approached and the cat became very friendly though, not wanting to risk getting fleas or getting bit, daddy didn't touch it.
A few minutes later the cat went back into the bushes from which it had first appeared.

That's a handsome cat! Who took the picture of Daddy Kiril (almost) petting it?

Daddy has a hiking stick that he sometimes takes with him and he set it in the ground, put his camera on the top, pressed the 10 second delay and got into position.
If he doesn't take the hiking stick he always has a mini-tripod handy.

What a shame that no one has helped or is willing to help this poor cat. Everyone leaves it to everyone else we guess. This cat looks like he needs a good meal and somewhere to lay up safe and get himself clean. Poor lad.
Aren't there any local small rescues who could trap him and help him out?
Maybe you could ask a local rescue to help out.
