Happy day after Christmas, felinity assembled!
Elvira Mistress of Felinity here, ready to share the opening of our secret paws package on Christmas Day.
The package arrived on the 6th, but Daddy Kiril played scrooge, and we had to wait until yesterday. How do you like that?
Before I continue there is an important medical update about daddy. He goes in for an operation on his left eye on Friday. Nikita and I are calling on the power of the purr to get him through this day surgery!
One of daddy's sisters will arrive this afternoon to help us take care of him through the 1st of January. Apparently she had serious doubts about our ability to take care of him all by ourselves. Well, all I have to say is...hmph!
For an explanation about why our blog is looking funny, see the 800th post on daddy's own blog!
Now to the gift!
Imagine having to stare at this for over 2 weeks!
Once daddy opened the big box we found another box, this one with something in it. Despite what he said upon first look Nikita has not gone near it since it was set up, except to sit next to it and look out the window at the passing scene. I guess he has yet to be tempted to give his favorite chair a break and try out the hammock.
As for me...once I promised daddy I wouldn't eat the scratching post (I remember my lesson from kittenhood!) I was allowed to investigate.
Part 2 - Sassy Lady tackles the Secret Paws gift!
I will be sending your human LOTS of purrs to help him with his operation, and to help you kitties help him heal!

Operations can be so weird when our humans get different cuz of their pain or whatever happened to them. Stay strong, kitties, he'll be fine in no time again. My mommy has pain a lot and she gets cranky and weird but I just lie beside her and beg her to pet me, it seems to calm her--maybe that'll help with your human, too.
