Good afternoon, Felinity Assembled, Nikita here, and Elvira Mistress of Felinity and I want to share how we began to settle in.
The 15 Chapter Move Story starts here. :-D
When the relocube arrived on our first Wednesday in our new home, Daddy was so busy bringing boxes in that we decided to play it safe and hide for the duration. :-D
Daddy had to toss the 6 ft. tower because, if he was going to have a desk, a table, a few chairs, and bookshelves, the tower would take up too much room, plus it had too much cat hair, and who knows who hitched a ride from Ca. :-D
Turns out, a day later it was gone from the dumpster so there is at least one lucky cat neighbor. :-D
ELVIRA:
As Daddy put things away, brought in the tables, set our familiar cube tower up, by the bedroom window, the new place was feeling more like home.
As much as we like the patio view our cubes were something familiar to hang out in until all the empty boxes in the living room were cleared away.
NIKITA:
Aside from the vet visit and concerns over my health and weight, we have settled in right nicely…well, except that the computer died and we were unable to start blogging when we had hoped. Our goals, include getting back into posting various staples of the blog, reconfiguring certain parts of our link collection to
reflect Texas and Houston, and their many resources, and learning to use the
new computer Daddy got.
ELVIRA:
Watching Daddy take a bath, in our new home, is a lot more fun and relaxing, than him hiding behind a curtain taking a quick shower. He spends a half hour to 45 minutes, each night, lying in the tub, reading a book, before washing up. Meanwhile I will lie on the little carpet by the door, watching, napping, &/or dashing away if he tosses a handful of water at me, just like back in Ca. :-D
Another thing Nikita and I are doing is read the Houston Pet Talk monthly magazine. We are finding this periodical quite interesting after reading 2 issues.
In the hopes of speeding Daddy up in getting a new computer Nikita and I often hung out around, and in, the chair at the desk, frowning at the old Dell Desktop. Seemed to work if you asked me. He got a new Toshiba laptop. :-D
As we return to blogging there is so much we want to return to doing, from 100 Word Cat Stories, poetry, news and reports and, in my case, the Elvira Factor, too.
I was about to ask, "Hey! Where's the new laptop??" But then you explained yourself! LOL! Good job, guys!!
