I was recently approached by a British reader of Meowsings, named Matt Beswick, looking to share an interesting blog post, and introduce his 18 month old website, and related, new, blog to a wider audience.
He runs a cat related Facebook game, along with being C-Founder of the website Pet365 (AKA UK Pet Supplies), and has recently started writing some guest posts for blogpaws.com.
The game, which I know nothing much about since I don't play online games, apparently allows Humans who may, or may not, already have a REAL Cat, or 3, in their lives, "to adopt a cute Kitty for your profile, feed it, play with it, train it, and enter shows."
It's that last part which may become an embarrassment to real Cats...I mean how would YOU feel if you were not a Show Worthy Feline, but the imaginary Kitty your human interacts with online IS? ;-D
Hairball on the $1000 couch, anyone? Hee, hee! ;-D
Anyway, decide for yourself if you want to tell your Human about Cute Catz.
On it's About Us Page Matt, & his 3 Canine Staff Assistants (No Cats), explain a bit about what they are about:
With 3 dogs (2 Miniature Schnauzers and a Giant Schnauzer) we regularly put the products we sell to the test and thought it was high time that we shared some views and opinions of the products we sell. We aim to be as impartial about the product as we can, keeping our pet owner heads firmly on when considering whether we think something is worth the money or fit for purpose, and some tests have led us to cease selling certain products on the grounds we didn’t think they worked!
We’ve also enlisted the help of numerous friends, and pet owners, to test out anything else we provide, to ensure you get as good a view of a products before you buy them.
Their Store sells some interesting Cat products so I decided to check out the new Blog, and see what's in it for Cat, and our Humans. ;-D
Out of 12 blog posts only one is about Cats, so far, but boy is it a doozy! ;-D
Having already done a rather useful, and entertaining, post about the differences between Human & Dog anatomy, he decided that equal time should be spent on a similar post for Cats & Humans. ;-D
The fascinating facts, and tidbits, are accompanied by a wonderful collection of very cute graphics, and there are links to 4 websites full of more, related, information, for the curious.
For anyone, in Felinity Assembled, who may be concerned that State Secrets may have been revealed in this post....don't worry, this stuff seems to be common knowledge if you know where to look for it. ;-D
Good luck with the blog, and looking forward to seeing more cat related entries!
In the Introduction to the Blog Paws version of his Cat Anatomy post Matt shares theses thoughts:
I've had a few comments recently that cats get a raw deal when it comes to creating content for blogs and sites... so this is the start of my aim to rectify this. Our cat anatomy graphic is just meant to be a bit of fun and, even as a dog lover, researching and putting it together was fascinating.
So, whether you're a canine companion or feline friend, why not spend a few minutes making something great that's dedicated to cats?
Very interesting, and an excellent idea! ;-D
Be sure to pay the blog, and the shop, a visit.
