Got ya to look, didn't I? Hee, hee! ;-D
This past week, several times when Daddy picked me up for a cuddle, and sat me on his lap, I DID NOT immediately leap to the floor. ;-D
While I didn't DANCE (Sorry Guys!), I surprised Daddy by actually staying on his lap a little while as he stroked my back. ;-D
I'd never done THAT before, and so he grabbed the camera to capture it for posterity. ;-D
Word is that the Official Term for this activity is "Lap Catting". ;-D
I'm guessing this is new behavior? That's terrific!

Cheryl...
Yes, it is.
I was rescued as a Kitten, off our front porch a year ago...so been a little skittish about being picked up.
I've always loved my Daddy Kiril but, until a month ago, more often than not I would use the most unlady-like language, in my soft voice, to voice my brief displeasure at being picked up from the floor. ;-D
Hugs & pettings are cool, and I've even let Daddy approach where I'm laying down, and pet, and kiss me, as I purr in response.
This latest letting down of my hair, so to speak, is just the latest effort on my part to become more interactive with that big, tall, human I love so much.
I have become so trusting of the play side of Daddy that I will lay on my back, paws raised, big-assed, toothy grin, on my face, and play pattycake with Daddy's fingers, using my front paws. ;-D
You should see me play with his shoe strings!
Oh, Ceiling Cat, how I love, love, love, those things!
Almost as much as I do chasing the light dot around the apartment! ;-D
