HAPPY BACHELOR DOMESTICITY COMES TO AND END - 237AM July 11, 2010:
NIKITA:
There I was, napping up a storm, when I heard Daddy come up the stairs, outside, and so prepared to welcome him home from work as usual.
Except this time was different.
He was walking around out there, and knocking on doors, and speaking to somebody.
Daddy said he heard my puzzled "What the ****?" through the door. ;-D
When the door finally opened he had something in his arms, and it was wiggling! (That was what he'd been talking to!)
He made a beeline for the bathroom, and closed both doors....
DADDY KIRIL EXPLAINS:
Oh, brother!
Nikita is curious as all hell. ;-D
I got home from work at midnight, and walked up the steps and right into the presense of a purring Kitten, with a collar, that reminds me of KC, a little, in appearance.This Kitten is very friendly, let me pick it up, and won't stop purring.I tried knocking on neighbors doors, but no-one answered the door.I could have just left it outside, but decided not to.
That midnight to 1am our lives changed forever...mine, Daddy's, and Sleeping Beauty's up there, most especially.
She is sleeping right now, but tomorrow the emories will come to her, as she is reminded of just how far she has come since that scary night.
For anyone who wasn't around during those first few weeks, the whole story begins here.
I didn't know what to make of her, at first, and Daddy was very worried we might actually find who had her first, and have to turn her over, but it was not to be, and he took her to the vet to have her checked out, and get her shots.
Daddy ended up naming her Elvira, and the rest is history.
From the ups, and downs of those first couple of months she matured, and grew, under my tutoring, into the Sassy Little Saucepot we all know and love, contributing, in her own special way to this blog, and bringing joy, and a spring in his step, to this old arthritic Kitty. :-D

2 confirmed bachelors allow a woman into their lives?
Can you believe it?
Well, it's true.
She stole our hearts, and made things rather lively around here from the first moment she entered our lives.
I fell in love with her the moment I saw that poor, pathetic, scared, bundle of fur at my door, and was very glad to be able to take her under my wing, though it added more expenses to my life.
Thanks to a couple of Cat Blogging Community Auctions we managed to get thru the early costs involved, and things settled down.
She was welcomed into the Cat Blogosphere with open arms, and encouragement, has made a place for herself as a contributor to this blog.
If you think what she has accomplished in that regard, so far, is something...just stay tuned. :-D
Us guys are gonna join her in sleeping the night away...tomorrow is her Big Day.

We furry well remember all the uncertainty and excitement of those first few days with "Little Miss Tortie".
It seems like it was yesserday.
And just look what that little saucepot tortie has done in a year!
