OH NOOOO!!!!
Nurse Nikita, & Nurse Elvira, have been called to emergency duty!.
Nikita, here...and this is just a Preliminary Report, as we are just too stressed out, to work on a full report, with pictures until at least tomorrow, maybe Tuesday.
As regular readers know we have had a Feral Black Cat in our Apartment Complex since at least early December, and he's been living in a nearby drain ditch.
Daddy had not seen him for the last 2 months, until this morning, in the north ditch.
Daddy got his camera, and after taking a picture of the cat, in the tunnel, from the sidewalk, he went across the street got his newspapers, and on the way back decided to go down in the ditch for a closer look.
Brilliant idea genius!
Elvira, & I were a bit puzzled why he didn't come back until 4pm. ;-D
The short report is that he broke his right ankle, and will have surgery by Friday.
He's exhausted from taking a short bus ride to get his pain meds, and we are gonna put him to bed right after he eats his only meal of the day..
We will have more, including pictures, soon.
He's unemployed, with no insurance, but was given papers to file for some sort of financial aid to help us out as much as possible.
He is still determined to go to BlogPaws in late August. we believe that it is that important.
Anyway, that's all for now, friends.
Ouch! that sounds awfully painful.
We're purring for him.
Put him to bed and keep him off his paws, kitties.

The Nursing part They have down reasonably well.
Nikita, however is a bit spookd by me on Crutches, and by me propping my leg up.
He spent last night alternating between checking on me, face to face, napping at the foot of the bed, and knocking down, and shaking pieces of paper trying to get me to set his kibble down for grazing.
When I set his food down, this morning, he looks at it, then at me, and lays on the kitchen floor until I pick the bowl up, poor guy!
Cleaning their litter boxes may be a struggle.

I came right over as as soon as I heard about your Daddy hurting his poor ankle.
The mom here did that about four years ago and we know this is a no fun time.
Just give your daddie lots of snuggle time and let him pretty much pet and bother you whenever he wants to.
You have to spoil him to make him heal quicker.
Yep, that is the trick.
Tell your daddy to take it easy and not to over due and not to be impatient.
Sending love, good thoughts, and purrs.
