Nikita here with a major announcement...
The last 6 months have not been easy for us, what with Elvira Mistress of Felinity to mentor, me with Arthritis, and Daddy un-employed.
Before that he had a seizure in May, for crying out loud! ;-D
For fans of this blog this is old news, and we are eternally grateful for your support, and encouragement.
When I stopped sharing space with Daddy, after 7 years, on his blog, and began my own, in January 2010, I only had his faith in me, and my growing popularity (Small though the following is.) in the Cat Blogosphere to give me incentive to boldly go forth.
When Blog Paws was born, first as a website, then as Conventions, we were overjoyed that, finally, there were efforts to help Critter Bloggers, including ourselves, reach their potential in ways we never thought possible.
Regrettably Daddy could not go to the first 2 conventions, and my early efforts to blog about important stories I found on the Blog Paws website had to be set aside when all the other things happened in our lives.
Last weekend Daddy took a huge Leap of Faith, and though we do not know what our situation will be in August, or even by the end of March, for that matter...He registered to attend Blog Paws 2011.
We felt it was important that Daddy Kiril try to go this time.
Daddy feels there is so much for us to learn, and to gain, from his going.
So we have the next 5 months to save for 3 days at the hotel ($119 a nite (+ charges and taxes), and for his round trip plane tickets to Dulles Airport in DC, and some spending money, and hope for the best.
I now have a badge on my sidebar, and Daddy has one on his blog, too, to let our readers know we hope to be there...
Those readers, and friends, who have followed my Blogging since the beginning, in 2002, but more likely since at least 2006, or January 2010, know that my blogging efforts, and especially my sidebars, are rather unique in our niche of the Blogosphere.
We don't have the time, resources, connections, and some of the skills, and knowledge, of many of our compatriots, yet we keep on plugging along because we have been told by many of you, and by members of the wider world, online, and off, that we have something rather cool going on.
Daddy has been learning new computer skills, and teaching what he learns to Elvira, and I. ;-D
The PDF Powerpoint Presentation, and PDF Flier, discussed, and linked to in the Blog Posts below are the first fruits of our edumication.

Downloadable Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat Info Flier: Including Elvira, too!
I am just a humble Blogger trying to build interest, and a following, and make something of my talents as a writer, storyteller, poet, commentator, and journalist (Elvira is coming along quite nicely in all these areas, too. She's smart as a whip for a one year old!).
A look at my traffic stats, via the link in my sidebar, gives you some idea of just how humble a place I am. ;-D
I don't even have a clue how many Bloggers link to me, or how well known I am in our own backyard, or even Los Angeles County ( Daddy Passes out my card, and flier every chance he gets! ). ;-D
Daddy and I feel that we can learn a lot from the Blog Paws website, and from his attending the Convention, things that will help this blog reach its full potential ( Heck, just today Daddy found another Pet Store Manager who has no clue that there are Cat, or even any other Critter, Bloggers out there! ).
The future awaits, and where it will lead will be interesting to see.
Paws up for your human signing up for BlogPaws, Nikita!!
Tell him that everything good starts with a leap of faith.
We kitties already know that, but a lot of times humans don't.

Hooray for your Daddy!
My Daddy might be going too, he just hasn't decided if he wants to drive that far!

I hope your daddy has a wonderful time at Blogpaws!
My mom is considering it, but we need to see what happens the next few months.
Thank you so much for the purrs while we await my test results, and for my mom's nerves.
