Hello, all you Happy Cats, and Cat Lovers!
Welcome to Carnival of the Cats #348!
The Carnival of the Cats is a weekly roundup of cat-related posts on weblogs, in America, and around the world, who choose to submit a post for inclusion.
For us Cat Bloggers the Carnival is a chance to discover blogs we might never have heard of, on subjects of all kinds, and you can learn more about the carnival, and how to participate, here.
We need Hosts for 2011 !!!
Elvira here!
I awoke, this morning, to Daddy telling me it was my job to rescue the Carnival because the ones who was gonna do it, must still be napping, or their Human was busy (These things happen, he says, so the Cavalry must be called!)
So off I went to round up submissions! ;-D
1. Let's begin with the celebration of a beautiful Tortie, and her Genes, in the country of Cyprus!
As Sue, of This is Cyprus, begins...
Tessie, our youngest cat (she will soon be ten) is very different. We didn't adopt her: she adopted us. She's not long and lean; she's more rounded, with fluffy fur that she grooms almost continually. And the most remarkable tail.....
Read the full story, and enjoy the photos! ;-D
2 and 3. Daddy, and Nikita, have been encouraging Pussycat Poetry for years, and an apparent Newbie to the Carnival has sent in an old post of theirs that is a wonderful example, and there is a picture, too! ;-D
Bright Heart Singing is the blog, and the Poem is called "My Cat is on the Roof, AGAIN!"
Daddy encourages you to read the new post by Jessica, the first since the one above, about why she blogs, as well.
It has something to do with Rabbits, and Math. ;-D
4. On the theory that Confession is Good for the The Human Soul...another Newbie, named Dollface, of Long Time No Dig, admits to being a Cat Person in this very funny post with a small round-up of her favorite Feline related websites.
Wonder what she will think of THIS place once she discovers, and explores it? ;-D
5. Over at Allan Thinks...The Cat Formally Known As Charlie, is recovering quite nicely, from her Spaying, thank you very much! ;-D
6. Over at My Cats and Funny Stories...Arthur has something against too much Posing.
What's he got against Posing? I don't see anything wrong with it at all! ;-D
7. What? No Luna? Quick, people, go take a look! CatSynth shares photos of a beautiful stray she recently encountered. ;-D
8. Strange Ranger shares an adorable photo of Maddie...from 2003. ;-D
As for us...
9 - 11.
Nikita has issues with National Public Radio...
National Public Radio President Vivian Schiller, who made headlines,
recently, for firing news analyst Juan Williams, a Fox News contributor, told an
audience Sunday that NPR's viewers Cats are a league apart from those of other
media organizations -- a hypothesis proven by its comments section on the
network's website.
My politics, like those of Daddy, being a tad different that those found at NPR, I
take great exception to her statements!
NPR President: Our Listeners Cats Are Smarter Than Theirs!
In honor of dear Nikita, my Mentor, I celebrate Senior Pets Month by
discussing five reasons to love our Elders. ;-D
And finally, an important post from Daddy, on his Blog, with several pictures of Nikita, and I, performing some very important duties...
As Nikita explains:
Dear friends, and fans, of I, Elvira, and Daddy Kiril:
I've hinted at it for 2 months, and it is finally time to let you know.
Before last week only a select few in the Cat Blogosphere knew what I am letting
you know, now...
At the end of August Daddy became Unemployed.
In this post on HIS blog, he explains what he's been doing, and his hopes and, as
you will see, by 5 of the photos, Elvira, & I, are keeping an eye on him, and even
pitching in as Study Buddies! ;-D
