Ouch Nikita, that does look like a sore time you are having, if you are holding the paw up when you are sitting that's not such a good sign.

Have you been jumping down from high places?

Has Elvira mistaken your nice fat paw for a large mousey and bitten it? Ask your Dad to sniff your paw too - if it smells then that needs an antibiotic.

Maybe ask your Dad visit the vet sooner, rather than later, to check it out.

We sprain stuff but we also get get weird stuff happen with our toe bones, & paw pads, sometimes, too.

There's also arthritis which can sometimes come on quickly and be real sore.

We all hope you will be ok.

Don't forget the other paw is just as effective for whapping your Dad and/or Elvira.

You'll just have to sit on your handsome haunches whilst you do it that's all!

Rumbly purrs to ya big fella

Star says, "Gosh! I did that too this year!! Mom kept an eye on it for about a week because Cats will do that sometimes but when it kept up she took me to the vet.

The vet checked it and there was an itsy teensy tiny break but nothing to worry about. Riiiiiight.

They put a stupid wrappy thing around my foot and made me take antibiotics for a week. Yuck!

I'm not sure which I had most, the pills or the syringes. But my paw did get all better. I know yours will too."

Jan says she can empathize with your Dad. But sometimes ....

We hope your paw is better tomorrow, Nikita.

We think Elvira should use ear plugs until you heal.

Lee County Clowder

Nikita, maybe you've worn a sore spot on a toe swatting Elvirus. :-)

Purrrring that it is something simple like a broken clawnail.

KC

We's purring fur you, too, Big Guy.

Hopefully it is just a one-time fing, maybe from sisfur swatting!

Take Whicky's excellent advise and use tha offurr paw. Hee hee.

Love & Purrs,
KC

Sparkle

I am sending you purrs, Nikita - you should definitely go see the vet about it.

Hopefully it is nothing serious and just a sore paw.

I don't want to scare you, but a limp was the first clue that my human's Cat before me had bone cancer.

It is probably not that - the type of cancer she had is rare in Cats - but it is always better to be safe.

Hannah and Lucy

Nikita - mum says she thinks your should go to the v-e-t place that we all love so much!

If you have an infection you will need antibiotics to clear it up.

Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx

Tia

Goodness, Nikita, that's not good at all.

Whicky gives excellent advice though.

And just think about it this way.

If you practice whapping with the other paw, when your hurty one heals, you can whack your Daddy, and the babycat, both at once, now that you've learned to balance on your haunches while whacking.

That can't be a bad thing, right?

In the meantime though, remember to look very plaintive, miaow a lot, go off your food and only eat when your people isn't looking.

That way he'll feel mighty sorry for you and you'll get all the scratches and chin rubs and stinky goodness you could ever desire!

Artemisia, Fenris, Socks & Scylla

Healing purrs for your paw Nikita.

We hopes it feels all better soon.

Yo Dude!

I was a good girl and while I sang LOUD this morning all the way there and in the house too, I went to the V-e-t and I feel so much better.

Please go, Nikita, and tell us what the v-e-t said!

xoxox Purrs and headbonks.

Cat's Cat's

Hi Nikita, I hope it isn't serious! My boys are sending purrs your way.

Cats of Wildcat Woods

Sending purrs from all of us ( and that's a lotta cats!) Hope it is nothing serious!
