The following is an essay that was intended to be shared on another website, this month, and was not considered acceptable...
"they feel the post is a nice commentary on blogging, but until they get the blog a little more established, they would like to keep the content about animals themselves"....
but that's a story for another post.
My topic is about encouraging Critter Bloggers to expand their creative horizons in a medium that is bringing new attention to itself every day.
There are as many ways to share what we wish to share as there are Critters, issues, events, and more, to spread the word about, and share pictures, videos, and opinions about...you just have to find your own creative way to share it.
THE ESSAY:
I'm a Writer, my Best Buddy, and Life Long Companion, is a Writer.
I'm a Cat. Daddy Kiril is a Human.
My name is Nikita. I'm all Male (Well, OK, I'm fixed, but I got over it years ago!).
I'm an Offishul Cat Blogosphere Repurrter, and also Professor of the Nikita Institute of Feline Studies, The Most Opinionated Cat in America, With Talent on Loan from THE CEILING CAT!
Daddy, and I've been online since I was a kitten, in 1998, sharing blogs from 2002 to 12/2009, and what IS blogging, if not a form of writing?
I come to you, you critters that blog, Humans that blog about critters, or Human who has a critter, or 2, but never shared much about them, if at all, to encourage you to find your own way to step out of the Comfort Zone of your usual blogging routine, and expand your creative horizons and, maybe, your readership.
Many Humans, when they think about animals online, know only of YouTube, or LOL! sites that allow them to put words in the mouths of posted pictures of animals, that those animals would be embarrassed to know had been put in their mouths, if they saw them.
Many Humans, working in animal related fields, have no idea Cats, Dogs, and other critters blog, or are blogged about.
The ever expanding world of Critter Blogging is finally being noticed, and one way you can bring visitors to your blog is to dare to be different, and thus a bit more entertaining, and thought provoking than others in this niche.
I've always been different in my approach to being online from the start when, like Daddy, I used a fake name on a long defunct message board and, unlike Eugene Ionescu who wanted to write his memoirs at age 10...I actually began doing so on that message board, before I was a year old. ;-D
It took a few years of blogging for me to know myself as a writer, and a year before Daddy gave me my own Blog, last January, to begin to catch my stride.
Poetry, photos, humor, opinion, all done after my own fashion, plus unrivaled sidebar content, gained me friends, readers, and compliments, and the same with Daddy on HIS blog.
Getting my own blog opened up many new possibilities to me, allowing me, with Daddy's help (My Official Research Assisitant, and Photographer.), to expand my creative horizons in many amazing new ways.
We are still learning new ways to use familiar, and unfamiliar, technologies, in our Blogging efforts.
As author Judy Reeves writes, in A Writer's Book of Days, "Take courage, be brave. It's in taking the risks we find our true and honest voice. This is the way to freedom".
It's said that Edgar Alllen Poe wrote with his Cat on his shoulder...
Daddy, and I, well for 12 years, and counting, I've looked over HIS shoulder, and he's looked over mine.
Now we have a new member of the family to teach our craft to, and the possibilities are endless.

Miss Elvira, of course, is my student, and if she can bravely explore new experiences, and sensations, and learn new skills, so can I, so can Daddy, and so can anyone, including you. ;-D
