Hello, all you Happy Cats, and Cat Lovers!
Welcome to Carnival of the Cats #341!
The Carnival of the Cats is a weekly roundup of cat-related posts on weblogs, in America, and around the world, who choose to submit a post for inclusion.
For us Cat Bloggers the Carnival is a chance to discover blogs we might never have heard of, on subjects of all kinds, and you can learn more about the carnival, and how to participate, here.
Like most sensible types in SoCal, this week, Elvira, and I, have been lounging about the old homestead, keeping cool.
Daddy? Well, he went shopping for clothes, at Kohls, today, with $150 in store Gift Cards. ;-D
Welcome to the 300th Blog Post since I began this little Speck of the Blogosphere, on New Year's Day 2010! ;-D
By the end of the week it is quite possible we will see the 1000th Comment left here as well. ;-D
While we await the return of Daddy from his Shopping Spree, let's get this show on the road!
1. Rahel, of Elms in the Yard, shares a photo of a newspaper obsessed Cat, plus 2 great pictures, of another Cat, that she explains this way:
"Pinocchio, the framer’s cat, has many fans all over the city. Her human companion tells me that well-known people come to visit her frequently. One of them, an artist, did a sketch of her. Here is the sketch next to its lovely subject"
2. Gattina, of My Cats, and Funny Stories, brings us the exciting tale of a Feline Gardening Assistant kept waiting beyond endurance!
3 and 4. CatSynth explores "the interplay between Luna’s naturally curving biological body and the straight lines that dominate the art and architecture of her surrounding environment" in a series of wonderful shots, and also plays tribute to Sniffie, a wonderful Kitty who recently went to Rainbow Bridge (Sniffie & the Florida Kids have been frinds to many in the Feline Blogging Community.)
5. Over at House of the (Mostly) Black Cats...Mini love foods. Srsly! ;-D
6. Over at Strange Ranger...Maddie shows us how to celebrate becoming a Senior Cat, and has a, um, High Ol' Time in this video. ;-D
7 - 9. As you shall see, in these posts, Elvira has come a long way since her very first photos in early July. ;-D
Last weekend saw a very scary emergency, but she's all better now.
In her very first blogs post she, um, explains herself (The 2nd post is linked to at the end). ;-D
Then there's this by her as well:
How Can Reading About Me, Elvira, EVER Be The Wrong Advice?
10 and 11. As for me, well, let me advise you to read these stories very carefully, and if you still have questions be sure to glance at the Category listed, next to the post time, at the bottom. ;-D
Torties, with Previously Unheard of Color Pattern, Discovered in SE US
12. My latest Song Parody! I Love to Chase Balls and Make Them Roll: A Sports Song For Cats
13. Vet Tech is a nonprofit site devoted exclusively to providing students with an understanding of the process of becoming a vet tech.
There's lots of interesting stuff there, and one fo the Humans who runs the place has posted a link-filled story about 50 Terrific Tips (& Tricks) for DIY Pet Grooming.
That's it for this week, unless there are any stragglers to be added later this evening! ;-D
Great Carnival! Thanks for hosting.
And we're glad to hear that Elvira is all better after her scary emergency!
