All funds collected go toward the upkeep of myself, and Miss Elvira!
Hello Catdom Assembled, and anyone who likes Cats, and/or may be involved in a business, or organization, related to Cats!
Regular readers may have noticed the Amazon Ads, and Google Ads, over the last 7 months, and if you clicked on them, I thank you from the bottom of my furry little heart (You know who you are!). ;-D
Daddy's own blog has them, too.
Until recently Daddy never thought of anything else, over all the long years of our blogging, because it was just the 2 of us and, even at 12, I'm still healthy as a you know what.
But things have changed...There's a woman in the house now, as of July 11th. ;-D
A 5 month old Tortie. ;-D
The story of Our little Domestic Drama, begins here...Intruder Alert! Daddy's Found a Kitten! Or Vis a Versa, I don't know!
The Booster Shots, and Spay (HooHawEctomy, for all those in Rio Linda!), in August, will cost him most likely $314.62, depending on whether Blood work is done for safety sake to be sure she can take Anesthesia, a test they recommend. And that is just an estimate, of course. Getting the Spay done by a place that offers a discount is a consideration, but he's not sure how safe that is to do. Daddy will be paying an extra $50 a month rent for her, in addition to another $400 Pet Deposit (The good news is that the Apt. Mgr. is allowing him to pay in 4 Monthly installments!). With this in mind Daddy finally decided to add the PayPal Donate Button to each blog. A lot had happened in the last 7 months since Daddy finally got wise, and gave me my own blog, after sharing space since 2002. He's slow to realize, sometimes, when something so simple makes so much sense, what can I say? ;-D What has happened on this blog, and in our lives, because of it, since New Year's Day, has floored us, and humbled us, and inspired us. I am an Offishul Repurrter for The Cat Blogosphere, as well as... Professor of the Nikita Institute of Feline Studies: The Most Opinionated Cat in America, With Talent on Loan from THE CEILING CAT! ;-D We know this blog has many fans around the world, and getting new viewers everyday (Even if they only stop by the one time, we know I have done something right to capture their interest, even for a few minutes.). ;-D We think this interest, encouragement, and support, is very cool, and it is our hope that, if visitors are so inclined to do so, readers will use which ever option they feel most comfortable with to, if they like our blogs, or any particular blog post they may read, to help Daddy with the continuing upkeep of Elvira, and I. Speaking of "Like" you may have noticed certain buttons long located near the place where you click to leave a comment on our blogs: Reblog, Favorite, Digg This, Save to Del.icio.us, and Tweet This. We have no real idea if anyone has ever used them but, if you have, we thank you for spreading the word. ;-D Since Daddy is on Facebook.... We have now added the Facebook Like Button to that list, for individual posts, AND have added the Facebook Like Button, in the sidebar of each blog, for anyone who likes the place as a whole, and wants to spread the word that way as well. We may soon add Google Connect, too, since I have Gmail. ;-D We are also considering setting up a Facebook Page for this blog. ;-D A lot has happened in recent months (Daddy's Seizure, in May, and his ongoing attempts to discover, and treat, what caused it, as well as rescuing Elvira), all of which we have shared, and have gratefully accepted the support, encouragement, advice, and prayers, of readers, and change is in the wind through the rest of the year, and beyond. If you, dear reader, have read this far, I thank you, and encourage you to explore this blogs archives, and sidebars, as well, as Daddy's, if you are so inclined. Leave comments, or send us e-mails, the addresses are in the sidebars, (Even Tweet Me) telling us your thoughts, and please spread the word about our efforts. ;-DDaddy took Elvira to the Vet, and spent $238.19, $100 more than estimated mostly because he needed to get the Advantage pack for us.
Where we are headed in this endeavor we have no clue, and are just taking things one day at a time.
Sure a lot of changes in your life this year.
Hope it gets better and better for you.

Look at Nikita's gorgeous, beautiful smile in the last photo.
What a handsome boy.

We hope Elvira is keeping you two males under her paw - we also think she will have to keep her eye on you both so you behave in gentlemanly ways.

I hope all goes well there for you guys.
I love, love love Torties especially!
They are the best.
2 of my cats were hit by cars last summer so I know a lot about how horrible vets are and how they get you in there and torture you with bills and um, "estimates." as if you'd brought your CAR in!
Much love to all and thanks to Cat Blogosphere for letting me know what your situation is.
So sorry.
Oodles of Love,
Sharyn

Hi Nikita:
Seems like this information is now old? I see the button to donate via paypal, but don't see any other links or ads.
Posted by: Amanda Socci | August 27, 2012 at 08:34 PM
Amanda the button works, and is located underneath a pitch for the blog.

Now I get your question!
The facebook, and related social network buttons are still there, but the amazon ads, networked blog link, and even Nikita on Twitter, are long gone.
Just didn't pan out.
