Is your Human looking for new ways to provide you with cultural entertainment?
Neither is Daddy — He knows I'm perfectly content with my few toys, and watching TV with him, and getting used to Strolling — but that’s why we have Manhattan performance artists:
Sydney Opera House will be reaching out to an entirely new audience demographic next month when it stages a musical event aimed at Feline listeners.
The performance, which will take place on the northern boardwalk outside the venue, is the work of New York wife and husband team Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed.
The music stems from works that Anderson has been writing over the last 11 years for her Siamese named Lollabelle. The Instrumentals will make most Dogs howl, and no Human will understand the lyrics unless they are fluent in Felinese but, Anderson points out, you WILL be able to see a Cat’s tail twitching in response.
As regular readers know I have a peculiar sense of humor, and...I'm an Opinionated Pussycat...
Using Anderson and Reed as inspiration, Doug Powers showed his apparent ignorance regarding the Critter Blogging Community in reporting on this story. ;-D
As a Mainstream Repurrter, and Commentator, of the Critter Kind, since 2002, I feel it my duty to recommend that if you know any Dogs who blog...show Mr. Powers report to them.
They may want to set Mr. Powers straight on the truth of their corner of the Blogosphere, and its valuable contributions to the ongoing Internet Conversation.
***UPDATE 5/17 - 1 AM***
Yesterday morning I Tweeted Mr. Powers, a highly respected columnist, and blogger whom Daddy has long been a fan of...
"As a Cat Blogosphere Offishul Repurrter, & 8 yr. Blogger, I found 1 part of your story ill-informed."
3 hours later Mr. Powers responded:
How cool is THAT? ;-D
***END UPDATE***
It is totally cool that the mistaken blogger now stands corrected.
The concert sounds interesting.
I wonder if they will put out a CD?
