It has been a very busy month, around here, hasn't it?
It's been so busy that I've not posted any new Street Seens!
The good news is that Daddy has been wielding his Camera left, and right, on his bike rides, all month long! ;-D
March 13th was a particularly busy day.
This Cat was either out for a dawn stroll, or heading back home after a night on the, um prowl. ;-D
Daddy, and I, saw him, or her, from outside our 2nd Floor window that looks out on the dumpster, and parking stalls, on the north side of the neighboring apartment complex.
On his way to work, later in the day, Daddy caught this exhibitionist in the act of exposing him, or herself, in public, on a street in Long Beach.
Refusing to answer questions from Daddy the miscreant quickly dashed under a nearby vehicle in an attempt to avoid being further photographed.
About 20 minutes later Daddy encountered this very thin, and tired looking, specimen.
Daddy said it was most likely this Cat was a Stray, if not Feral, and a battle-scarred one at that if that patchy fur was anything to go by.
Surprisingly the Cat did not run away, but walked a bit down the sidewalk, with Daddy walking after it, then stopped, turned around to stare at Daddy...
...before walking toward him, then across the grass in the first picture, and into the gutter, seemingly intent on going under a car to hide.
It stopped, however and, as Daddy hunched down, smiled, reached out a hand, and said..."Hello, there, Kitty, it's OK, I won't hurt you"...walked over to Daddy, meowing a hello, and purred as it eagerly let Daddy give it a few scritches on the top of its head.
Daddy gave it one more scritch, told it where there was a Colony a few blocks away on the cliffs overlooking the beach, that might offer it some food, if not a place to stay, wished it good luck, and continued on to work.

Aww, I feel so sorry for the ferals and abandoned cats.
I always carry at least one tin of cat food with me in my knapsack, in case it's needed...
Maybe your Dad can carry some food or a package of treats, too.
Even a bit of kibble in a little baggie.
You never know when it comes in handy!
