This calls for a Belly Rub Fest! ;-D
Oh, and one more thing...
Please look at this photo, closely, um, hee, hee!
Can we please, finally, stop with the "Nikita Cat is a SHE" stuff, now...pretty please?
With Premium Catnip on top? ;-D
To play, I have to reveal seven things about myself and then pass the award on to seven wonderful fellow Feline Bloggers, and neither task is as easy as it sounds!
Hang on to your whiskers, my seven might surprise you!...
1. As mentioned previously (6 Things about me!) some of the most interesting things about me are night time related, and this tidbit is as well: I have this habit (Developed about 8 years ago when we moved out of a 1 bedroom home) of crawling under the covers with Daddy, for about 5-10 minutes, once a night (Twice, if he goes to bed early enough, which is rare, even on his days off), just long enough to knead the hell out of Daddy's stomach with my front paws, turn around, and purr in satisfaction for a job welll done, and then exit stage left. ;-D
2. Daddy bought me one of those tunnel things to crawl in, last year, but I have not yet been persuaded to enter it, even with a catnip toy inside it, or to chase that darned elusive laser light. This has Daddy looking for ideas that might work, especially ones that would persuade me that entering was entirely MY idea in the first place. ;-D
3. We live in a 2nd floor apartment, and this means there is no ledge, outside our back window, for Birds to hang out, and no way for us to set up a Bird Feeder, even if there was. The Birds, outdoor Kitties, and other critters in the complex, rarely make it up to our 2nd floor, and there is no place to set up a feeder there either.
There ARE ledges inside our apartment, however, the length of the windows, just wide enough for me to balance myself on, if I dared, so I can amuse myself by watching the goings on outside, but I have not, and Daddy is wondering what he can do, other than moving my tower, or getting 2 more appropriate for the locations, that would give me the room to walk about, or stretch out, and relax, the length of these observation spots (There IS a tall drawer, next to the back window, that I can stand on and, straining my neck, look outside at one angle only.)
4. I've never worn a collar or, since I've never been an outdoor Cat, been in a harness, or on a leash, but now that I've got a Stroller Daddy is considering them.
5. I've never met a Mouse in person, much less chased a Spider, but hope springs eternal! ;-D
6. I HAVE met an Oppossum, many yrs. ago &, well, it was very interesting indeed. ;-D
7. I can't Break Dance, do the Funky Chicken, The Flamenco, or Step Dance, however....I HAVE been known to perfom a decent Twist from time to time. ;-D
- Okay, now I have to choose seven friends to play...
- 1. The great Everycat! Whicky Wuudler, Esq., likes to call himself a "Common Cat", when there is nothing common about him, from his rugged good looks, to his supportive, thoughtful, and opinionated, comments all across the Cat Blogging Community.I do not know if this Award will encourage him to blog again, but that is not important. What is, is that he knows his contributions to the General Conversation, since 2008, are greatly appreciated, and respected, by many.
- 2. The wonderful Meowza! Meowza fancies himself a Loverboy, and Dirtyboy, and his Mother apparently thinks he's a Bad Boy for some ungodly reason, and wants little, or nothing, to do with him!His ongoing Mother Issues, his photos, and adventures, and often opinionated, postings are among the many things that make his blog so fun, and interesting to read. Will this award, and its requirement, give him some inner insight that will help him win over his Mother? Who knows? Um, hee, hee!
- 3. Mindy, and Moe, of the wonderful Team Tabby, were the first Kitties to leave a comment on this blog, New Year's Day, and their blog always has beautiful pictures, and interesting stories.
- 4. The first Kitty to leave a comment to a post of mine (The date was 11/2/07!) on the new blog Daddy set up, in Fall 2007, after closing his first one, just got this award...so This spot goes to the 2nd Kitty who stopped by, 3 hrs. later!
- Dragonheart, of the much missed Dragonheart & Merlin, last heard from November 11, 2008.
- I do not not know if they will see my comment, or e-mail, letting them know of this honor, but one can hope.
- Here's hoping that all is well!
- 5. Daddy closed his first blog, in October 2007, after 5 1/2 yrs., and it had been a year before that that anyone, other than 1 Dog Lover, had commented on any of MY postings. ;-D
- That post was a memorable one, and the comment left, on Nov. 6, 2006, by a certain Cat loving Human, was also memorable...though a tad contentious, as was my reply, um, hee, hee (The Hissing, by both sides, was not over Cats!)!
- So, this spot belongs to Gattina, of the wonderful Blog My Cats and Funny Stories, and her Cats. The humor, the pictures, and more, make this a Beautiful Blog, indeed, and I'm sure she can come up with 7 things between all her Feline Companions!
- Back in those days Carnival of the Cats was getting 59 submissions a week, in the summer of '06, if you can believe it, but you can't visit the blog that hosted that week, these days, without an invite! ;-D
- Before Gattina, even as Carnival was born on March 22, 2004, all the way back to 2002...no Cats left comments, and only 1 Human who occasionally wrote about her Cats. ;-D
- 6. Because respect for our elders is important, and encouranging those oldsters to share their wisdom, and experience, thru blogging, is a brilliant idea, this spot belongs to a new member of our Community.
- Tigger is "a 20 year old Norwegian Forest Cat living the life in sunny Arizona!"
- Tigger is particularly fond of black olives, spicy Cheeze-its, and Buffalo Chicken, and loves to sleep in "my Mom's Jeep!"
- I sure Tigger can easily come up with 7 more things to admit to, being 8 years older than I. ;-D
- The pictures are adorable, and the 6 posts, since New Year's Day, display a talent for our pasttime that I want to encourage more of!
- 7. Because youth, especially youth with talent, and beauty, must be served (Though not for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner!), and encouraged, the final spot belongs to young Baby Patches, a soon to be 2 year old Turkish Angora, of Confessions of the Plume, a year old blog, that is a well written (With lots of pictures!) place to visit.
- Rules, being rules, I can't use Fuzzy Math to award everybody...so have to stop there!
Thank you very much for the award !
That was very nice of you to have thought about my Cats !
I don't think that Dragonheart will ever come back again.
Something happened there because they disappeared without saying a single word.
That's more than strange.
As I have 4 Cats now, because little Lisa went to the bridge a months ago, it's a little difficult to describe their characters, but I do it each tuesday for Cats on Tuesday.
BTW we had a tunnel too, but none of the Cats wanted to go in there, not even Rosie when she was a kitten, lol !

Great post.
I miss Dragonheart, no one seems to know what happened, but it is a real shame.
My cats all love their tunnels... the tunnels are crinkly and make a lot of noise.
They love to gang up and run thru the tunnels, all six at the same time, about 3 a.m.

You've never had a spidey?!
Poor Nikita. They do make a nice snack.
OK, we changed your link in our sidebar.
Thanks for letting us know, and thanks for considering us for the award, too, although we already had it.
We'll stop by more often.

Congratulations Nikita!
In that celebratory pose you really are all mancat too ;)
..and it's very interesting to learn new things about you as well. :D
We are all blushing here to be described so generously, thank you buddy, and thank you for the award.
We hope you find a (safe non poisonous) spider to play with one day.
They really are tops, and last ages if you don't break their legs all at once. ;)

Mindy is blushing after seeing that pic of you, Nikita!
Oh, and congratulations on winning the beautiful blogger award - and thanks for passing it on to us. We feel quite honoured!
We loved hearing about you and your bean.
We hopes you get to chase a spider or even a mouse.
Pretty soon June bug season will be here - do they ever get inside your home? they are awesome to chase.
purrs,
Mindy, Moe, Bon Bon, Cookie & Mike

I'm so sorry I never picked up my award several months ago.
I'd still like to if that is okay?
Posted by: Tigger | July 05, 2010 at 03:26 PM
Yes!
Dear Tigger, it is more than OK!
I know that, being so much older than I, the mind may tend to wander, and that Napping, and Snoozing, may take precidence over other things, such as blogging, and sharing your wisdom, and knowledge, and experience, so this honor may have not come to your attention until now, um, hee, hee! ;-D

I had no idea you won this blogging award!
Very beautifully written. Great descriptions of the nominees, too!
