We can't wait to hear all about your adventures when you go out in this huge, and amazing outside World!

I bet you are super excited!

Daisy the Curly Cat

I think you will love strollering in your new FUV!

My Mommeh put my little pink sleeping bag inside of mine, so when I feel nervous I can crawl inside, and feel a little safer.

Within a few seconds I always pop my head back out and start looking around again though.

We also started with a few spins around the house to get used to the stroller first.

Have fun!

It's wonderful that you will be able to get out, and explore Nikita.

We have never had to use strollers because we have free access to outdoors (daytime only though, huh).

This is the link to the Catster Super Stroller group!

They might have some good info on how to help you slowly get used to the stroller.

OOOHHHH you got a stroller!

What fun!

We can't wait to see where you go strolling!!

I know Jacqueline's cats have strollers, don't know how far she takes them.

Wow, Nikita, your Dad loves you very much!

What a pawsome present!

We're looking forward to more stories in upcoming days, and weeks.

Our human is surprised you're allowed on public transit, though.

Here non-human animals are not, except guide dogs.

BTW, she says to tell your Dad she's gone through three of those shopping carts in short order, because the tires aren't heavy-duty enough for rigorous walking.

Or maybe it's just our lousy sidewalks! ;-D

The Meezers

Oh Nikita - what a wonderful wonderful purresent!

We is so shur that you will learn to LOVE it - it may be a bit scairty, at first, but then you'll get used to it!!

Lookie Lou

My two sisters love theirs! (Being a cartoon dog, I have no need to ride in one.)

It's great.

Sometimes we go into stores.

It's real fun.

We did a show on a gentleman who had one for his Duck.

His duck imprinted on his dog so they would all go for a walk.

You will love it!

Nikita, that is so exciting, and it's so much nicer than the grocery cart!

That looks like great fun, and it means you can get outside to see all the sights.

What a nice Daddy to get that for you.

Can't wait to see you try it out.

an FUV eh.....be cool to see you in it...but I think i prefer my four feet.

good luck

Cats of Wildcat Woods

We have seen those things, and they do look like a great way to take your cat with you on walks!

Let us know how it goes.

We tried a harness on Minnie, and she wriggled right out of it first thing.

We don't have sidewalks here - too rural.

Good luck!!!!!!

Tiki & Kirby & Kesey

We have a stroller.

My brother Riley used to love going around the neighborhood in it.

I do not like it.

I do not like to ever leave my house. -Tiki

I like to take walks. I miss Riley coming with me. -Kesey

Mommy says I can try it out when the weather is warmer.

I am not a scaredy cat like Tiki.

I think I might like it.

Mommy says that if your Daddy puts a blankie,
and a toy, and maybe some nip in it, and leaves it out that you might get used to it faster.

Tiki & Riley have both taken naps in ours. -Kirby

Wow, what a neat gift.

Looks like all 5 of us kitties would fit in one of those.

We know several kitty bloggers have a stroller of some type.

We know Skeezix does, and Daisy & Harley, but we can't remember the others.

You're going to have fun.

Eric and Flynn

We can't wait to see where you go on your adventures.

Looks lke you will be having fun.

The Island Cats

Well, lookie there! It's a stroller!

How cool is that!

You're gonna get to go outside, and see lots of stuff!!

We can't wait to see!

We don't have a stroller, but we're thinking we may need one!!

Wow, an FUV ... that's cool!

We hope it all works out, Nikita.

,Just imagine all the neat things you, and your Daddy, will be able to see, and do together. :)

PDX pride

Oooooh, you'll absolutely LOVE that once you get used to it!

Mommy got one for us two years ago, although ours is a little smaller (just doesn't have the added section on the back).

Ours has held up remarkably well.

Tabby uses it twice a month for her visits to the nursing home to be a furry nurse, and goes on buses, and light rail with it.

The rest of us use it for strolls around the neighborhood, going to the vet, and as a sleep spot in the house.

Have your Daddy leave the mesh open so you can explore that upper space on your own time.

(That's where you'll ride; your Daddy's stuff goes in the bottom basket.)

Leave it out in the open with the mesh down for a good snuggle/sleep/nap spot!

Then, once you're used to it, you can be chauffeured around the apartment before you take it out for a spin in the "real world".

For public transportation:

Does your bus system let human strollers be open, or do they have to be folded down?

If they can be open, then you're in luck!

You can stay in the stroller when you travel.

If they have to be folded, then the same rules probably apply to you, although most drivers on our buses allow ours to stay open when we travel, as long as there's room for it to fit between two of the seats (where the bus is designed to have baby strollers fit).

You may have to remind drivers that it's a cat carrier, not a baby stroller, and show them the paw print on the side to prove that it's designed to be an animal carrier.

On commuter trains, the same rules apply.

What goes for a baby stroller usually goes for a cat stroller, per the driver's discretion.

Bring along a folded-down carrier in the bottom basket just in case, so that you have it ready if you have to fold the stroller down.

The Catster Super Strollers group is here.

Feel free to e-mail us (link on our profile), and/or look at our bloggie for more stroller q&a.

We're always happy to help!

Have fun strolling!!!
