Well we Cats love humans too, but we just sometimes have a peculiar way of showing it. :-D
I am not the 1st Cat in his life, and no-doubt won't be the last, if I go to the Rainbow Bridge before he does.
A couple of months ago I wrote a post about 1 particular Cat, a poor struggling thing who, despite our well-intentioned best efforts, was unable to adapt to a life of ease, and comfort.
It is the story that inspired me to contemplate writing a fictional adventure tale in his honor: I, MAXIMUS: A Cat Tale.
It has long been known that Squillions were virtually an endangered species, and the entire Cat Blogosphere was devastated.
A few years ago, to the amazement, and joy, of everyone Sanjee, assisted by her Mom Robyn, after unsuccessful attempts to locate more of the 'ramic Squillions from the Green Wall Shelter, managed to locate a small colony of VSquillion families and offer them for adoption.
By December 2009, both Sanjee & Mom Robyn completely retired from the Cat Blogosphere, leaving others to carry on.
But what about the VSquillions?
More VSquillions were soon discovered in late 2009 due to a very persistent Gracie.
Because of her, KC was sent out hunting, and found a few litters of the original VSquillions.
Other expeditions, led by Gracie, KC, and Zoolatry, all have led to the discovery of new and exotic races of VSquillions, hitherto unknown to the world!
The full, exciting, details of those grand adventures of discovery, and all who helped them succeed, may never be known, but the world will be forever grateful for the hardship, danger, and sacrifice, these hardy explorers went thru to rescue these endangered species from oblivion!
Thanks to them all, there is now a thriving shelter with Squillions of many different races, and colors, waiting to be adopted.
I am proud to announce that I, with the support of Daddy, have adopted a Squillion in honor, and memory, of our dear friend Maximus.
Maximus The Squillion will hopefully help me in spreading the word about the issues of Feral Felines, and Cat Overpopulation, as well as about Adoption, Shelters, and Rescues, and the many related links in my sidebar, where he now has a home.
I can see that your Angel VSquillion, Maximus, is settled nicely on your blog.
What a loving place he has to help remember your Maximus that is no longer with you.

We see that this Maximus is settling in very well.
He will see that we all remember the original Maximus.
