Thanksgiving Video Triple Feature: Debuting Elvira, Co-Starring Nikita!

Happy Thanksgiving, Felinity Assembled!!

Daddy Kiril, here, & I am your host for this Holiday Special Event.

The reason I'm hosting, and not our star attractions, is that I have some explaining to do.

The past year, since Aug. 2010, has been a challenging one for me, as many of you are very much aware, and while I, and the Kitties, had hopes, and plans, especially for this blog, I also spent time learning new computer skills, and breaking (and still recovering from) an ankle.

In Sept. 2010, in an effort to boost my spirits I grabbed the Flipcam for the first time in a year, and pointed it at Nikita, & the young newbie to our household, Elvira Mistress of Felinity.

Then I promptly forgot about the results.

In April I made a video of Elvira as well.

As some know I've been in a reflective, concerned, mood, of late, about the future, and been doing some reading, and thinking.

The encouragement, and support, of many friends, have helped in that thinking.

This week I decided to take a small first step toward a brighter, and even more creative, future, and went in search of those 3 videos, with the intention of sharing them with the many wonderful friends, and fans, of Nikita & Elvira, and the world, at last. ;-D

In the first 2 videos the 7 month old Elvira, only 3 months after entering our household, shows that she's not intimidated by her mentor, Mr. Nikita, in the least.

She wants to play, and the Old Man had better be Ready to RRRumble! ;-D

In the 2nd video, for the first time ever, fans will hear the voices of Nikita and, especially, Elvira. ;-D

In the 3rd video I share an every morning ritual that Elvira engages in (She's "Shower Obsessed"!)....WARNING: I Sing! ;-D

DVD Case Cover, and Label, for Our 1st You Tube Slide Show Video

Daddy brought home the DVD Case Cover, and DVD Label, for the DVD of the video he recently made in his PhotoShop Elements 8 Class, and we posted on You Tube!

 

Daddy took a bunch of pictures on a CD to his class, and chose from among them whcih ones to use in the Video, and on what you see here.

 

 

This looks so fun, and cool!

Nikita, Elvira, & Daddy Kiril Star in their 1st Video Together!

 

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, and Felinity Assembled....

Welcome to a Special Moment in the history of not only this blog, but in the 9 years that Daddy Kiril, and I have been Blogging.

As fans of our Blogging know, a couple years ago Daddy got a Flip Camera, and made 5 videos, 2 featuring me, that he posted on YouTube.

He never posted another, though he just discovered he has 2 of us Cats still on his Flip that he needs to download, and work on!

As has been mentioned he got PhotoShop Elements 9, last fall, and began to take Adult School Classes.

The latest class focuses on Organizer, and making slide shows, and movies.

He brought in 100 pictures on a CD, and had to choose 25, or so to work on, and adapt for a Slide Show, creating a story, and adding music, and ultimately making a movie.

The movie was put on a DVD and, after Easter, the class will make a Dust Jacket cover, and a label, from some of the images everyone brought in.

In the meantime Daddy uploaded the finished masterpiece to YouTube, this morning.

It is just over 4 minutes long, using a music clip that was on a cd in the teachers collection, since he doesn't have any, but I love his choice, and Elvira, & I, love the Video!

We are still new at this, and it looks like since the Flip Cam folks are discontinuing the product, Daddy will have to find a quality Hand Camcorder that is easy to use, and learn, and costs under $200 to replace his 2 year old Flip.

Hello Hollywood! Think it's time for my Close-up?

No? Didn't think so. Me neither...at least not yet, anyway ;-D

Every  night, since I can remember...and I'm almost 12 years old, I've greeted Daddy at the door upon his return from work, and often from any other outside excursion he takes, even if it's just to the mailbox.

It's a joyous occasion, with me purring, Daddy saying sweet nothings, and me dashing over to the bed, and rolling over, as Daddy comes over for a couple of minutes of belly rubbing, chin scratching, and general, gentle, loving, and tussling. ;-D

One recent October day was different, from the moment he opened the door, and caught me a bit by surprise.

Daddy was pointing that new toy of his, a Flip Camcorder, at me, and talking to me a little less sillier than usual, in his greeting.

This was so odd that I was a bit unsure what to do next, but finally settled on heading to the bed.

Things only got stranger from there as Daddy just kept pointing the Flip at me, and talking.

I finally figured out that the Flip was still a camera, even if it didn't flash, so realized that he was engaging in picture taking of a sort, which is something I enjoy imensely, so got into the spirit of the moment.

This finally got Daddy to give me some chin, and head rubbing, and that made all the fuss worth it.

Then I got a look at the video...

I don't know who comes across sillier in this thing, me or Daddy!

At least I look cute.

Not dignified, mind you, just cute. ;-D

The follow-up went much better!

Upon my return from my Annual Physical, in November, Daddy immediately got the Flip Cam out.

I played along, and strutted my stuff around for a few minutes, and Daddy was happy.

I was really happy, though, to discover a treat  of a portion of canned 100% Quail meat next to  my water bowl!

He bought it at a really cool new Pet Shop he found in Belmont Shores, called Pussy and Pooch!

It was delicious!

Now that I understand what this YouTube stuff is all about, I'm going to work with Daddy, very closely, over the year, to bring the same combination of fun, seriousness, and dignity that I've always brought to my blogging to videos I appear in. ;-D
