The Tomcat got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from carousing Chrissymouse Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for the neighborhood lady cats, they are aggrieved.
 
He’d been sniffing too much catnip,
Even though he knew he shouldn’t do so.
He dug in with dedication,
And then made the rounds in the pouring snow.
 
When the humans found him Chrissymouse mornin',
At the spot where he got nailed,
There were hoof prints between his ears,
And claus marks on what was left of his long tail.

Now, when his human was told,
He said, “Oh, well!”
See him in there watchin' ESPN,
Sippin’ Dr. Pepper, and playin' dominoes with Uncle Mel.
 
It's not Chrissymouse without Ol’ Tom.

With the ladies that dude sure had a knack.
But, now, who is going to care for every cute new litter?

Now the turkey is on the table
His human glad it didn’t come out wrong.
Drinking from a mug with an orange handle
He paid tribute to Ol’ Tom with a burst of song.
 
I've warned all my feline friends without fail.
"Best to be nice, not naughty.
With the ladies don’t take license,
Because by Santa you’ll get nailed."
