Daddy recently stopped by a couple of Thrift Stores, and the Garden Grove & Tustin Library Bookstores, looking for interesting Cat Themed Books, on the cheap (Like 50 cents to a $1 each), and also bought 3 used books cheap from Amazon.
17 books! Plus 14 other books he had bought over the years, but neither he, nor I, have gotten around to reading yet. :-D
So we are set for reading, and reviewing, for a while, though he won't stop looking, and we are not averse to any new author sending us review copies of their latest, for us to reead, and review. :-D
That little red paperback in the 2nd collection?
Originally published in 1946, revised in 1953, and this paperback edition was published in 1963 for 50 cents! :-D
****UPDATE - 8PM****
Synchronocity = Is Ceiling Cat looking out for us?
Daddy has been re-reading The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron and today, as I was writing this post, he was reading Week 7, specifically a part about "Listening", and discussed it with us afterward.
It reads...."Once you accept that it is natural to create, you can begin to accept a second idea -- the Creator will hand you whatever you need for the project. The minute you are willing to accept the help of this collaborator, you will see useful bits of help everywhere in your life. Be alert: there is a second voice, a higher harmonic, adding to and augmenting your inner creative voice. This voice frequently shows itself in synchronocity.
You will have the experience of finding things -- books, seminars, tossed-out stuff -- that happen to fit with what you are doing.
Try to remember that God is the Great Artist. Artists like other artists.
Expect the universe to support your dreams. It will."

****UPDATE - 2/19/12****
Synchronocity 2
In West Hollywood there are 2 bookstores, named Circus of Books, known for the, um, more adult material they sell, of all variety, but also for their well stocked Newsstand, and extensive selections of Used Books for sale, most of which go for $2 to $5 a book.
Daddy discovered them in his 20's, way back in the 80's, but had not been back to either store in 20 years. :-D
Yesterday he paid one of the stores a visit, wearing our new promotional shirt...
He asked the 2 older gentlemen behind the counter if their stacks of books had anything about Pussies ( My now legendary defense of that mis-appropriated, mis-used, word, from the Vulgarians! )....
After they stopped laughing he pointed to our image on his shirt, and repeated the question.... :-D
Sobered up, the gentlemen admitted to not being sure.
After an hour of wandering the shelves Daddy found 5 cool books. :-D
In addition to the Cat Books, he found a huge book on Limericks that Elvira, & I, look forward to exploring for ideas of our own. :-D
****END UPDATE****

Wow, your human got some really quirky cat books!
BTW, someone gave my human that Dead Cat book... and she loathed it!

Wow, lots of books! I wouldn't be able to keep them around for a while and not read them! MOL

What an interesting range of books.
I am not so sure about the one that says "Dead Cat" on it (is that 101 Uses Of A Dead Cat?).
Hope he would never think of trying to turn you into a pencil sharpener after you'd crossed the rainbow bridge!

I do believe you have more Cat books than I have although I haven't counted lately. :D
I have not tried the suggestions in my latest, "Crafting with Cat Hair." Got a lot of brushing to do first.
Look forward to the reviews.

Wow, just look at all those books your Daddy found!
I'm sure you'll help him read them by laying on top of the pages.
That is always very helpful.
