Last week Daddy read a poem of mine, at The Ugly Mug, to great acclaim.
This week he went again, and this time he had an extra purpose, besides reading poetry.
Rick Lupert is a poet, author, and more who runs a remarkable website, an unmatched resource for poets of all stripes, and levels of talent, called Poetry Super Highway.
In 2009, before Daddy set me up on a blog of my own, and I was just beginning to write poetry, myself, Daddy submitted our blog for inclusion in the collection of Poetry themed links on PSH, and it was accepted.
Mr. Lupert, being a Cat Person, himself, sent a compliment to Daddy, that is in Meowsings sidebar...
"Long Live Your Pussy!" ;-D
On Open Mic Wednesday, Daddy returned to The Ugly Mug, and had the chance to hear Mr. Lupert read a fine selection of his poetry, and loved it.
Before the evening began Daddy approached Mr. Lupert, introduced himself, thanked him for including Musings of a Mad Macedonian in his links, and thanked him, on my behalf, for his compliment which, of couse he had long since forgot even having made. :-D
In honor of his kindness I asked Daddy to read 2 of my poems when it was his turn, explaining about the compliment given me by Mr. Lupert....
The Midnight Prowl of Those With Claws - An Independence Day Tribute to the Founding Felines
The audience was quite appreciative and, for that, I thank them! :-D
Being a Cat Person, himself, Mr. Lupert read several pieces of his in which Cats played parts.
In begining his reading he said, "Long Live EVERYONE'S Pussy!"
The audience, male, and female, roared with laughter. :-D
One poem he read, about his 3 Cats (2 are nmed Cleo, & Tigger), called Animal Hospitality, he dedicated the reading of it , to me! :-D
Back in November Mr. Lupert appeared at the Monthly Reading of Village Poets of Sunland Tujunga.
On their blog, they share a photo of him, and some backround on him but, more importantly, they share Animal Hospitality with their readers. :-D
How cool is that dedication?
I wish I'd been there so I could give him a head bump! :-D
Daddy submitted this blog, because of its Poetry, and 100 Word Cat Stories, to Mr. Lupert in the hopes that he will add it to his collection of links at the next weekly update.

Have a great weekend.
