Carnival of the Cats is a weekly roundup of Cat-related posts on weblogs, in America, and around the world, who choose to submit a post for inclusion.
For us Cat Bloggers the Carnival is a chance to discover blogs we might never have heard of, on subjects of all kinds!
The Carnival Home Page, with an archive of past Carnivals, the Line-up for 2011, FAQ'S, and more, is HERE.
A little heads-up, to get things rolling: November 13th will be the 400th Edition of Carnival of the Cats, and it will be hosted by the Carnival Minder-In Chief Mog ( Meowsings will host #399) ! ;-D
Let's get this show on the road!
The Sherwood Bunch
Missy, Sol, BJ, KC, Smokey, Faith, & Mom ML!
The Cat Blogosphere = Feline Journalism Website Extraordinare!
This Labor Day weekend has been a Labor of Love for the wonderful ML who does so much for the cause of Cat Blogging via The Cat Blogosphere website, and Cat Bloggers have been letting her know how much we care for, and love her, and her Cats.
2. I posted a Tribute as well.
The Slacktiverse is a popular Community Blog with over 8 million visitors in 7 yrs.
One of their contributors had a question on Friday, and wrote a blog post about it.
In a very cool surprise I discovered that Meowsings of an Opinionated Pussycat was mentioned, and linked.
The writer was pondering one of the most important questions in the universe......What is it about the Internet, and Cats?
I left a comment, and wrote a lengthy response, and invited other Cat Bloggers to do so as well.
At least one has that I am aware of. ;-D
4. This was my response.
Check out the comments for more on the debate. ;-D
We have a Newbie, from a blog, that's not a Cat Blog, with a post that is several months old, but very thought provoking.
Daddy Kiril used to be a rabid Comic Book reader years before I was born, and he remembers when Neil Gaiman introduced the new Sandman to the Horror Corner of the DC Universe. Like Alan Moore's re-imagining of Swamp Thing it was a major game changer, he said.
Anyway, it seem Sandman currently has Cats on its mind, race, and society, and politics, and more besides.
6. Over at Friends FurEver...It's ManCat Monday with Cousin Trooper! On the one hand he can't figure his Mommy out, and on the other he asks everyone to join him in Purrayers for his Mommy who got a Colonoscopy the other day.
Daddy Kiril worked in a Bookstore in the 80's & 90's, and when he told me about several Animal Themed Magazine Parodies, such as Dogue, & Catmopolitan, I had to laugh.
Over at the Award Winning blog Catsparella...You can see for yourself the cover of one such parody, and some of the ads inside: Cat-vertising From Vintage Vanity Fur Parody Magazine. ;-D
13 to 15. Mog & Meowza have some great posts to share.
It's been a while (Over a year! Such a lazy Kitty! Actually, keeping her son Meowza, and the human, Mog, in line takes up most of her time, hee, hee!) since Ritzi last posted on Ilnfidel...but the place has a new look, and she wants everyone to see it. ;-D
16. In case ya didn't hear the big news...Daddy got us a new tower!
It's HUGE! ;-D
Get the story beginning here (Just keep following the links!).
That's it for this week, thanks for stopping by! ;-D
