730am...At the Polls.
Stroll #6
It was a fun trip to the Voting Place as, along the way we entertained about 50 Young Skulls Full of Mush who were waiting to board a bus to their Elementary School! ;-D
Daddy, and I, hope that, whatever their preferences, your Human, or Humans, vote today.
Daddy says that doing so is the most important thing a citizen of the United States of America, the Freeist nation in the world, for well over 200 years, can do.
The Polling Place, in years past, was manned by old Humans, but not this year.
There was a nice young Black Man supervising several 18 yr. old Caucasian, and Hispanic, High School Boys, and they were very friendly, did their jobs well, and had a sense of humor about Daddy, and I. ;-D
About the props:
Why Daddy had to show he likes to drink Tea, and Party, is one of those things related to all that Hissing, and Growling, over issues that I told Elvira about. ;-D
The books, which layed flat, titles facing outward, on the top of my Pussycat Purrambulator, while we were inside so Daddy could vote, were Library of America Editions of the 2 volume set called "Debate on the Constitution".
Daddy enjoyed reading them all the way through over several months, and learned a lot.
Both volumes contain the "Federalist and Antifederalist Speeches, Articles, and Letters During the Struggle over Ratification".
Vol. 1: Debates in the Press & in Private Correspondence - 9/17/1787 to 1/12/1788, and Debates in the State Ratifying Conventions of Pa., Ct., and Mass.
Vol. 2: Debates in the Press & in Private Correspondence - 1/14/1788 to 8/9/1788, and Debates in the State Ratifying Conventions of SC., Va., NY, and NC.
Daddy used the new skills he learned for using the new Word 2007 Program on our computer to make the posters, which we used after going outside after voting.
As we took our pictures outside we got lots of smiles, and laughs. ;-D
On the return home the My Human Voted How About Yours? sign got lots of stares, and smiles from people driving by us in their cars. ;-D
Back home I got treats for helping Daddy vote, and Elvira got some, too, for holding down the fort until we returned. ;-D
