There's Blankies in This Here Apartment!

One morning, last week, I was busily enjoying a real good Snooze when Daddy opened up a package that came in the mail...

As Daddy, um, woke me up....

 

 

Elvira helped him empty the box of all its contents. ;-D

 

 

While the toys were cool, what really got our attention, and made us both curious, and excited, were the other contents of the box. 

 

Blankies! Lots of them!

Four of them, to be exact. ;-D

The Human at Peggy's Place, as everyone in the Cat Blogosphere Community knows, Crochets wonderful, colorful, Hairy Blankies for Kitties in need.

Thanks to donations (There's a Button in the sidebar so visitors can "Buy a Blankie to Donate to Cat Blogosphere Kitties in Need.") she builds up a supply of thread to make them.

All money after postage goes to help a Cat Blogosphere Kitty.

Thanks must go to the benefactor (Who shall remain nameless at their request) who made a substantial donation to our Support the Pussies Fund that helped Daddy get Elvira fixed last week.

This benefactor requested Blankies for us ("paid for" by the donation)  and, unknown to Elvira, and I, Daddy and Peggy worked out the details for this very unexpected, but pleasant, surprise that arrived a day after Elvira's Surgery.

Elvira tried out her Tortie Colored Blankie...

And immediately fell in love with it. ;-D

I like the Blue one and, while it took a few days, I've become rather fond of it, especially at night when Daddy's legs are under the covers, under it, and I can lay down among his legs for a nap. ;-D

The Green, and Red, ones make great places to hang out, for both Elvira, and I, one for the back window perch, and the other for a comfortable place to keep an eye on Printer activity, and on Daddy when he is at the computer. ;-D  

Thank you, Peggy, for your talent, and generosity.

As Daddy said he told you his Mother was a Quilter, and Crocheted as well, back in the 70's and 80's, and if she were alive today would have admired your skill, and wanted to pitch in. ;-D
