Thanks for all the Comments! Daddy and I DO Read Them All!

1000 Comments may have been left on this blog by Halloween Night, or Thanksgiving Day, if not before (We are in the 830's as of today).

Daddy, and I, are absolutely floored by this show of support, and interest.

It is a humbling experience.

Before I got my own blog, in January, we were able to keep up with responding by e-mail, reasonably well, because even I didn't get a lot of comments over the years from 2002 to the end of 2009.

But something happened, beginning in January, when I began blogging on my own site, and it shows no signs of slowing down.

Readers have shown their interest, by commenting in droves and, by the end of April, with all the responses to my Birthday celebration, and early Stroller Posts, and Street Seens, just to name a few, we found ourselves with a backlog of comments to respond to.

We love the support!

It encourages us to provide the best experience we know how to you, our readers, and supporters, hopefully encouraging you to read my archives, and explore the links in the sidebars, and spread the word to your friends, and your own readers....

Then Daddy had his seizure in early May, and I had to play Nurse for a couple of months...

Then Daddy found a certain little Kitten on our doorstep in early July, and I am now Mentor, Big Brother, and um, Boy Toy ( As in Non-Sexual Play Pal ! ), to Miss Elvira (She does so love to chase my tail for some reason!)

 

I took the difficult step of deleting over 650 of the Heads Up that Typepad sends to Daddy's Inbox when a Comment, or Trackback, is left.

We have made the decision to not even try to respond to each, and every, comment, anymore.

A lot has happened so far this year, creatively, and personally, to both of us, and it has changed both our lives...and more change is on the way, GOOD Change, we believe! (All will be revealed in time)

 

Now we know what it is like for other Bloggers, whether Cat Bloggers, or our favorite, well known, Bloggers in other Niches of The Blogosphere, from Bicycling to Politics, who get anywhere from 3 dozen to hundreds, of comments a day, including sometimes on just 1 post.

We will both continue to read each, and every, comment, and trackback left, and even respond by posting a comment when either of us has something to add (Letting the person who commented know with a heads-up e-mail.), and sit back, and enjoy, and moderate when need be, the ongoing discussion among readers.

We will also still e-mail readers, and commentors, from time to time, as well.

And to quote from the notice at the bottom of one of my sidebars....

Daddy, & I, have no problem with people excerpting a reasonable part of one of my entries in a post of their own, as long as attribution to me is made, and a link to my original post is included.

This is a long standing tradition, and practice, in all corners of the Worldwide Blogosphere, since its beginning almost a decade ago, and helps everyone spread the word about all the wonderful Blogging going on, somewhere, every day!

That's a wise decision, to not try to respond to each comment by email any more.

An easier way to keep in touch is to just say hello now and then when you visit other blogs. :)
