Call this edition of Street Seens "15 Min. of Fame 2". ;-D
A couple of weeks ago I reported that Daddy encountered 4 Cats in 20 minutes.
Maybe word of mouth is spreading in the Long Beach Feline Community about this human, on a bicycle, waving around a Flashy Box, and everyone is suddenly keeping an eye out for him.
How else to explain 4 in 20 minutes? ;-D
Cats can be so nosey when we want to be, ya know? ;-D

Yesterday Daddy encountered new evidence that word has spread, & some Felines are very excited about this project. ;-D
February 13, 2010 - 345pm, Long Beach, Ca.
As Daddy pedaled down a street he saw this Cat stretched out on the steps of an apartment, observing the passing scene.
Obviously an Indoor Cat, judging by the collar, and tag, how it reacted to his presence took Daddy by surprise.
The Cat took one look at Daddy, and got all excited!
It walked toward Daddy, looking both ways as it crossed the sidewalk, talking up a storm!
Daddy said it was non-stop "Meow, Meow, Meow, Meow, Meow!", and if the critter had more tail it would have stood straight up in the air in pure pleasure!
The Cat didn't come out in the street, so Daddy didn't get close enough to pet it, but he did get it to slow down enough, with its chatter, so he could understand it, and have a conversation (Daddy speaks Felinese quite well, thank you very much!). ;-D
It seems the Cat, who declined to state its breed, gender, or age, had heard of Daddy through the local Kitty Grapevine, and went online to find out more.
A Google Search led to this blog, and the Cat had been reading it for days, and keeping an eye out in case Daddy was in the neighborhood. ;-D
It had seen Daddy 2 blocks away, and settled down on the steps to await developements. ;-D
Daddy asked if the Cat would mind posing for some more photos, and its eyes lit up, and started in with the purring, like a high speed motorboat!
"I never thought you'd ask!", it said, with a grin. ;-D
Daddy told it to pose anyway it chose, and Daddy would snap away.
The last 3 photos are the result.
Stunning, and beautiful, hardly do them justice.
Sultry? Macho? Mysterious?
I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? ;-D
As Daddy was wrapping up, and saying his good-byes, a young Hispanic woman approached the steps, from the street, and the Cat stood up to greet her.
When Daddy asked about the Cat the woman said it lived in the building, a popular resident, and hung out on the steps, every day, friends with all it encountered.
This is the best of the Street Seens, to date, by a mile. ;-D

What sociable cats you have in Long Beach, Nikita.
You Dad's pictures really impress us all.
They are very atmospheric, and it's nice to see cats looking so relaxed and natural.
We compete with the gargoyles of Notre Dame when that damn camera comes out ;)
