Bad Kitty Cats Festival of Chaos #112 - It's Alive! Edition

Hello Catdom Assembled!

Welcome, one and all, from those who have been long time fans, to those just discovering, this Festival, and wondering what all the fuss is about.

I will get to the fun part, I promise, but this is important, so bear with me....

Things are looking up, again, as of the latest news I learned this morning. ;-D

Before I get to the fun part I wish to sincerely apologize for any perceived negative tone to the intro of yesterdays version of this post, now deleted.

I care, and was concerned.

I was trying to encourage Cat Bloggers to help save a valuable member of the Community.

Communications problems, apparently caused by a recalcitrant e-mail program on one end, and the busy life of Kashim's Human assistant, of Three Tabby Cats in Vienna, were making me wonder if all was lost for the future of one of our Community's valuable forums for spreading the word about Cat Blogging.

They is alive!!!!! Thanks to the efforts of Kashim, via Mog of The Cat Blogosphere, I was finally reached, and alerted to very good news indeed.

Not only are there lots of entries to share, this edition, but all but 1 month of the Festival Dates are known to have a host! ;-D

In July of last year Kashim & Mamma Astrid announced a change of this Festival to monthly, and hoped for the best.

In the new year I heeded the call, and now I learn that others have as well. ;-D

Samantha Black and The Orange Kitty hosted in January, and will host again, and joining us, thru the year, will be Mog, the Kitties at The House of Chaos, with Kashim, Othello, & Salome in December.

We need someone to take October!!

Anyone who has not already scheduled a nap for October 3rd is heartily encourage to apply! ;-D

Bad Kitty was founded, by its originators, with the goal that it would be something where creativity and friendships were sparked across the Cat Blogging World, and I believe that it accomplished its goal, long before participation began to wane, and long before I discovered it.

Bad Kitty is a Festival where submissions are Feline Focused only, and while Hosts have on occasion offered Themes of the Week, or Month, no-one is required to base their post on that theme.

The Bad Kitty Home Page has sections that tell more about its history, about being a host, and a lengthy Q & A about submissions, as well as links to previous editions so you can get a flavor for the fun.

I have been blogging since 2002, and until last New Years Day that was on my Daddy's blogs. ;-D

I only discovered the Cat Blogosphere a couple of years ago, and even though I've hosted Carnival of the Cats many times I still am learning about the variety, and extent, of our Worldwide Fraternity.

Our Fraternity is a vital, fun, supportive, and informative one, in all its variety, what with Facebook, Catster, Twitter, YouTube, and other Video, and Social Networking, sites, including a new Tool Bar, playing their own vital roles in this success.

New Cat Bloggers are adding their voices every day.

Okay, enough with the backround, let's get this show on the road!

1 - 3. Babette, of The House of Chaos, had a lot of exitement in January!

Your name is Frankendrolleke, you are sickly, your coat is taking its time in fleshing itself out, you are not in the mood for play, preferring to sleep, when you are not being a nuisance that urinates and defecates in the house, steals food from the humans forks, and tripping them whenever they are occupied in the kitchen, and are considered the Runt of the new litter, and "a typical product of inbreeding".

Now you are sick, and looking for purrs, and purrayers, from everyone in sight. ;-D

This is a touching, and heartwarming, report on a little tyke who has everyone that knows him pulling for him to survive, and it will bring a tear to your eyes.

A month later, and the Patter, Patter, of Tiny Feet, including those of The Runt, “bring life into the brewery”, the

"stumble and bustle of a quick play-fight, the groans and creaks of furniture sighing under torturous battles, the hiss and snarl of a game that’s suddenly turned into full-fledged war… just the usual sounds of 8 felines living under the same roof and loving it. Thus, there is rarely a moment of peace and quiet in the House of Chaos and that alarms visitors to no end but provides the resident simians with endless mirth and enjoyment."

This story, and the new pic of The Runt, will bring tears of laughter to your eyes. ;-D

Meanwhile...

“Oh look, he’s chasing a rabbit ! Oh ! Oh that poor rabbit !”
But no, Hrimnir was not chasing it, he was actually playing with it. Imagine that… our fearsome feline hunter frolicking and romping with a rabbit ? Obviously he was having fun. Equally obviously -judging from the frantic hoppings to and fro- the rabbit wasn’t so thrilled about it but had decided to give back as good as it could. Rabbit chasing cat chasing rabbit.

As Babette writes... You had to have been there… ;-D

Munchkin and Amber say...It's Girlie Friday!

A few days later their Mom Bean turns 1000 years, um, I mean Blog Posts, old, and a couple of the cats let her celebrate... as long as they are allowed in her lap. ;-D

One Humans coat, is a Bad Cats blanket! Deal with it! ;-D

On Saturday it snowed! All Bad Cats can do is enjoy the view.

14. Speaking of Bad Lady Cats...Willow is a spoiled "Dilute Calico" who just can't take "NO!" for an answer, when it comes to the question of her drinking from The Food Lady's water glass. ;-D
